Scriptlance acquired by

/ Comments (7) has announced that it has acquired Toronto-based outsourcing and crowdsourcing site, Scriptlance. The consolidation coincides with entering the Canadian market.

Scriptlance has over 360,000 enterprise and professional users and is one of the largest in Canada. It is also an early adopter of crowdfunding — helping a computer learning center in India triple its fundraising goal in 24 hours.

The acquisition will solidify's position as an industry leader in web traffic. The details of the all-cash deal have not yet been released.

Given this, and countless other cases of Toronto-based start-ups being acquired, it's a good time to be a start-up in Toronto.
