Jack Layton: The Movie

CBC, Pier 21 Films and Eagle Vision Inc. are collaborating to deliver a small-screen film about the life of Jack Layton — focusing mainly on the 2011 federal election campaign and his relationship with Olivia Chow, fellow MP and wife.

The film is rumoured to feature Rick Roberts as Jack Layton and Sook-Yin Lee as Olivia Chow and tentatively entitled Smilin' Jack. Filming began on August 5.
